Introduction

RentalBay understands that visitors to our website, potential customers and users of RentalBay’s services care about how their information is collected, used, processed, transferred, stored and shared. This Privacy Policy describes RentalBay’s commitment to protecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy describes how RentalBay handles data as a data controller, meaning all data we process for our own purposes. Where RentalBay is a processor of data, that activity is generally governed by our Data Processing Agreement, part of the Terms. By using our Websites or Services, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. We periodically update this Privacy Policy. 

In order to provide more services to users and improve the stability of our services, we have accessed software development kits (SDKs) provided by third-party partners. Some of the third-party SDKs may involve the collection of user information, and we have itemized the information related to the SDKs of third-party authorized partners that involve the use of user information and the corresponding third-party privacy policies. What Type of Personal Information RentalBay May Collect

Data we collect

When you use our sites, our products and our services we collect data from you or about you. What data we exactly collect depend on what you use and how you use it. In general, there are 3 categories of data we collect and use:

Data you provide

This is the data you enter yourself when using our sites, products and services. This data includes for example your name, email address, the search terms you enter, your address and favourite locations, your phone number, any map errors reports, your size, weight, gender, age etc. etc.

Data collected by sensors


A lot of our products come equipped with one or more sensors or use the sensors of the devices they run on. Examples of sensors are GPS receivers, WiFi or Bluetooth receivers and pressure sensors. These sensors, when activated, will automatically collect data. Depending on the purpose for which it was captured, the data in combination with data that identifies you or your device can be sent to RentalBay and others for subsequent use.

Metadata

This refers to any data that is collected or automatically generated while you use RentalBay sites, products or services. In many cases metadata is collected or generated inherent to you using a computing device or inherent to transmitting data over computer networks, such as the internet. This data includes user interface and other device usage events, IP addresses, unique device identifiers, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth MAC addresses, cookies and records of computer activity. RentalBay shall refrain from selling or disclosing data unless according to written agreement with the rightful owner(s) or according to court order. However, RentalBay have the right to analyze and disclose market statistics which, among other sources are based on anonymous operating data from NVR hardware.

How Does RentalBay Collect and Use Personal Information?

We will only collect and use your personal information for the following purposes as specified in the Privacy Policy:

1. Help you complete your registration and login

(1) To facilitate our provision of services for you, you need to provide basic user information, including your name, and create your account and password.

(2) To facilitate our provision of services for you and prevent others from maliciously logging in to the Application by using your account, you need to provide your mobile phone's IMEI.

2. To enable you to use the services provided by third-party companies and achieve better user experience, we will, as requested by the third-party companies, collect your personal information, which is detailed in Third-Party SDK Usage for RentalBay. 

3. You understand and agree that some individual services may require you to enable certain access permissions (e.g., permissions to access your location information, camera, photo albums and local storage) on your device to enable the collection and use of the information covered by such access permissions. When you need to disable this function, most mobile devices will support your requirement. Please refer to or contact your mobile device service provider or manufacturer for the specific method. Please note that you are deemed to have authorized us to collect and use relevant information to provide you with corresponding services by enabling any permission, or have cancelled such authorization by disabling any permission, in which case we will no longer collect and use relevant information based on the corresponding permission or provide you with services corresponding to such permission. However, your decision to disable the permission will not affect the previous collection and use of information based on your authorization.

The permissions that you need to enable are described as follows:

(1) Location information: We access your location information, based on which we provide you with customized features. We will use the location information when you use functions such as  viewing equipment distribution and setting up electronic fencing.

(2) Camera permission: We obtain such permission, so that you can use the camera for uploading attachments and other scenes. If you create a new machine and need to take a photo and upload an attachment, we will use camera permission to take photos.

(3) Permission to access photo albums: We access your photo albums to enable you to access and upload photos, pictures or videos in your mobile phone. We will only access your photos or videos for use or uploading when you are uploading any attachment.

(4) Local storage permission: We will access your local memory to store your operations on the Application, photos and other information. We will only access your storage permissions in order to save them for your viewing when you need to download and save attached information.

(5) Obtaining Mobile Equipment Identity: We obtain your mobile equipment identity to prevent others from logging into your account maliciously, send notifications, and record your login logs . We will only obtain your mobile equipment identity when you log in to your account to distinguish the hardware devices for login accounts and to prevent your account from being logged in and operated by others.

Self-starting and associated starting: In order to provide users with real-time dynamics of the business document process and other message reminders, the application will be started automatically when a push message is received or a push notification is clicked, so as to provide users with better services.

Permissions required by the Application can be granted at your discretion. To enable or disable any permission, please follow the following steps:

a. Click settings

b. Find the Application in the application list

c. Click the Application to view or modify permission settings

Note: If you disable the location information permission, some functions that require location information will not be available while other functions will not be affected. Please operate with caution.

At the same time, our product is developed based on DCloud uni-app (5+ App/Wap2App), which requires the collection of your device unique identifier (IMEI/android ID/DEVICE_ID/IDFA, SIM card IMSI information, OAID) during application runtime to provide statistical analysis services. Through application launch data and error log analysis, we will improve performance and user experience to provide better services to users. 4. Pushing messages to you

Provide you with notices. We may provide you with notices relating to the services when necessary. If you do not wish to continue receiving messages from us, you may require us to stop pushing them by, for example, modifying the settings in your mobile device, except where we are required by law to send messages.

5. Exceptions for obtaining authorization or consent

In accordance with relevant laws and regulations, your authorization or consent is not required for the collection of your information under the following circumstances:

(1) Where it is related to national security and national defense security;

(2) Where it is related to public safety, public health or major public interests;

(3) Where it is related to criminal investigations, prosecutions, trials, enforcement of court decisions, etc.;

(4) Where it is difficult to obtain your consent but the purpose is to protect the vital legitimate rights and interests of the information subject or other individuals such as life and property;

(5) Where the collected information is disclosed to the public by you on your own initiative;

(6) Where the information is collected from lawfully and publicly disclosed channels, such as lawful news reports and government information disclosure;

(7) Where it is necessary for signing a contract at your request;

(8) Where it is necessary for maintaining the safe and stable operation of the services offered by the Application, such as identification or disposal of product or service failures;

(9) Where it is necessary for lawful news reports;

(10) Where it is necessary for an academic research institution to conduct statistical or academic research in the public interest, and when academic research or description results are made available to the public, the information contained in the results is de-identified; and

(11) Other circumstances as stipulated by laws and regulations.

At the same time, we also provide the account cancellation function for registered users. Subject to the conditions specified in the service agreement and relevant laws and regulations of the country, you can go to "Me" - "Account Cancellation" to initiate the cancellation process and follow the corresponding agreement for account cancellation. After your account is cancelled, we will cease to provide services to you. In accordance with your requests, we will delete your personal information or anonymize it. However, this is subject to exceptions as stipulated by applicable laws and regulations.

Disclose/Share of personal data

RentalBay does not sell any Personal Information it collects to third parties. RentalBay may share Personal Information with its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, contractors, and agents in the course of providing you with our business services, support, or the fulfillment or delivery of our products or services.

RentalBay may disclose Personal information if we are required to do so to a court of competent jurisdiction or other legal or regulatory authority, or, if there is a good faith belief and reliance on said belief, that disclosure is necessary to: comply with any legal process served on RentalBay; maintain, uphold, or protect RentalBay’s rights or property; protect and ensure the personal safety of the public or other RentalBay clients; or protect against criminal or quasi-criminal activities, or to detect, prevent, or investigate allegations of, or address, misrepresentation or fraud.

RentalBay reserves the right that in the event of a bankruptcy filing, mergers with third parties, acquisition by third parties, sale of assets (all or partial), or any other transfer of all or substantially all of RentalBay relevant assets to a third party, that RentalBay shall be entitled to share (or sell as an ancillary aspect of the overarching business transaction) the Personal Information you have provided to us to the third party.

Retention and Disposal

We keep information only for so long as it is needed for the efficient and effective delivery or fulfillment of the software, products, or services you are using or contemplating using and for a reasonable time thereafter, or to meet any legal requirements. We will either destroy or remove information when it is no longer needed.

Personal Data Transfer Internationally

RentalBay may transfer your Personal Data to countries in and outside the EU, including to and from the United States. To comply with applicable laws, we maintain strong data protection and privacy controls to protect your Personal Data during cross-border and international transfers, as well as during periods of storage in foreign countries (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

Security and Storage

RentalBay takes customer confidentiality and security seriously. RentalBay has technical, administrative and physical safeguards in place to help protect against unauthorized access to, use or disclosure of customer information we collect or store. Employees are trained on the importance of protecting privacy and on the proper access to, use and disclosure of customer information. Under our practices and policies, access to sensitive personally identifiable information is authorized only for those who have a business need for such access.

Although we work hard to protect personal information that we collect and store, no program is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee that our safeguards will prevent every unauthorized attempt to access, use or disclose personal information. RentalBay maintains security and incident response plans to handle incidents involving unauthorized access to private information we collect or store.

Your Rights 

You have the right to request access to information, and to seek to update, delete or correct this information. You can send your request to email sales@nvr-us.com. We will respond within a reasonable period of time if a request is made to delete data. For the avoidance of doubt, we are not responsible for the use of information collected by our customers on the Services (User Information).

If you want to export your personal data, you may contact us promptly by sending email sales@nvr-us.com and we will respond to you and resolve the issue as soon as we receive it.

If you want to restrict the processing of your data, you can send email sales@nvr-us.com to contact us promptly, we will reply to you and solve the problem as soon as we receive the email.

RentalBay may from time to time update this Privacy Policy, with the updated policy to be posted on this page and encourage you to review our Privacy Policy to stay informed. . The use of Personal Information provided to RentalBay prior to the update will continue to be governed by the policy in effect at the time the information was provided. We recommend that you revisit this Privacy Policy from time to time on a regular basis.

Governing Law and Venue

By visiting and using this website, you acknowledge and agree that the laws of the State of Wyoming shall govern, construe, and apply to this Privacy Policy (without any reference or regards to any principles of conflict of laws). The venue for the resolution of any question, dispute, proceeding or other matter arising out of this Privacy Policy shall be the federal or state courts located in the State of Wyoming.
